Julian Chike joined the Department of Religion at Baylor in the fall semester 2022. He grew up in New York and Minnesota then attended Indiana State University, where he majored in Biochemistry and competed on the Track & Field team (High Jump and Triple Jump). Before pursuing his masters and doctoral degrees, Chike was involved with full-time college ministry in St. Louis, MO, until 2014. Julian and his wife, Janelle, have four children -- Adalyn, Alaria, Haddon, and Halle. Outside of teaching, research, and parenting, Chike enjoys running, woodworking, and playing the acoustic guitar.
