Dear SoftOne group members,

This is my first post here, first of all I have to say Hello to everyone.

I have a perplexity about how I can import a text file using Ascii using Softone import, columns divided by # character.

What I have to write in formula, detail and event columns?

I attached a photo to be more explicit.

Thanks a lot,
Raoul.

The function you are using for import is for excel import.
For importing Ascii delimited file you should use Imp(number of column, data row). Check the documentation inside the programme.
For example not Imp('a') but Imp(1)

Dear Xef,

How I can import services via text file, because when I tried it, checked out with SQL Monitor, and everything goes on sodtype 51.

Thanks a lot.

Good morning Raoul,

if you want to keep services as services, you will have to create a new import at the unity of services (where the sodtype=52), not the unity of items.

I hope I have been helpful!

Dear Αντώνης Περτσιούνης,

Thank you a lot for your fast response and for your amability,

I have to be more explicit. I have to import from a text file(ascii) a PURDOC or SALDOC (FINDOC) document with items and services.

I don't know how I can make the difference between ITELINES and SRVLINES when importing a text file.

I have to import items and services individualy? or is any better option to do this job?

All the best,
Raoul.

Good afternoon Raoul,

you could use an extra field (where you put 51 or 52 depend on the type of line) in your import file.

And complement field MTRLINES.SODTYPE in your import configuration.

I hope it works for you.

Good afternoon,

I've been tried to set up a ascii file import but I cannot insert lines in ITELINES AND SRVLINES in same text file (.txt).
Please take a look of my import configuration file that works fine for sodtype = 51.( Attached file ).

Import lines:
99990#48484848#2020#2020#MAGAZIN NUFARUL#RO31555966#000004#04/04/2017#04/04/2017#000105#1#309.98#90#27.89#371.01.09#449.2#1#
99990#48484848#2020#2020#MAGAZIN NUFARUL#RO31555966#000004#04/04/2017#04/04/2017#000004#1#309.98#90#27.89#371.01.09#449.2#0#

I've been tried to change ITELINES with MTRLINES and at the end I insert a new row like " MTRLINES.SODTYPE  -  Imp(18) " and at the end of the each line I insert 51 or 52 by the case.

If anyone have a solution please help me.

Thanks a lot.

All the best,
Raoul.

There might be a problem with the Purchaces import module, We were trying 3 days ago to do something similar and we couldn't use MTRLINES, only ITELINES.
And if it is both ITELINES and SRVLINES that you want to import simultaneously, I think that you should consider using Import Script or javascript. They are far more flexible / powerful than the import from the modules and can do the job you want.

Dear Νίκος Μάλιακκα,

Thanks for your fast response and for your interest.

Can I ask you if you have an import script example to do this job?

All the best.

Yours Sincerely,
Raoul.
