Hi Forum,

I am researching and building a flapping mechanism using tensegrity beams. Could you recommend an electric/temperature actuator that can be able to compress and expand up to 20N of force and has a quick response time?

Thank you,
Manthan

Nitinol wires? I came across this page:

CHARACTERISTICS
  • Activation temp: 55°C
  • Diameter (mm): 0.5
  • Stroke: 5% contraction when heated
  • Pull Force (N): 29
  • Resistance (Ω/m): 5.1
