For one of my projects in rehabilitation robotics, I require pneumatic muscle actuators (PMAs) capable of producing large forces (upto ~400N, 25% length contraction). I have been able to find such PMAs online on festo website but they are very costly. Can you suggest some cheap alternative manufaacturers without compromising on specifications.? Also, Is it possible to build such high-performing PMAs in our own lab? Any help would be great!
