Do you know if Snowchecker will show compatibility of installed DRIVERS? I've got a Silicon Image driver for my Expresscard eSATA 3Gb/s card and would not want to lose its ability to function under 10.6.

You have to be careful with drivers. Sometimes they show up, but then
don't function properly when in use.
For instance m-audio just put out a Snow Leopard beta driver for the
Firewire 410 Recording Interface.
Snow Leopard detects the driver, and the online interface functions.
(Mac Pro with 10.6.1 and Firewire 410 version 1.9.2)
But as soon as you push 'record', it kicks out, and ceases to
recognize the driver.
Tested with Soundtrack Pro 3.0.1 and Quicktime 7 pro audio recording.

Rene,

Always the best reference- the drivers' author. Check with them first.

I do not think that Snowchecker will reliably do that. Maybe if there is an installer app for it you'll get a clue... Also if the driver exists before you upgrade, then if Snow Leopard installer has a problem with it (and if incompatible, it will!) then you'll know. However that's the hard way. Because then you'll have to uninstall and revert back to OS 10.5.x.

Another clue, if the driver shows up in System preferences in your current OS (10.5.x?) then it's more likely to be compatible. If elsewhere, then I'd be suspicious.
