Hello everyone,

 I have been part of this group for a while following the emails but I have not introduced myself. My name is Jose Aparcedo and I currently work at Venevision as a camera assistant. I graduated from Full Sail film school back in 2011 and I am currently looking for a full time position in post production. Attached is my resume if anyone can refer me to any openings I would greatly appreciate it. My demo is available at my personal website, I have also included the direct Youtube link. Any constructive feedback is accepted.

Hello Jose and good day.

First off great work on your reel, very nice and impacting. Your website is very professional and to the point which is great.

Here are some on my recommendations for your site:

- Add an email that matches your domain like con...@aparcedo.com or jose@aparcedo.  Just a small detail but it is much easier to remember and it sticks to your brand, plus anyone can figure out your website address from just looking at your email.

- Personally, I am not a big fan of videos that auto start as in your home page.  I would recommend you keep the video page on the home page but make it bigger and embedded and let us choose to play.  Sometimes we may have our speakers cranked, are not ready to watch or we just want to get to your contact page because we already know your work. 

- I would replace the resume with an about page and let me know what you can do for us.  Let us get to know you and your passion for your work and maybe even a back story of why you do what you do. You may always add a link to your resume after that captivating paragraph if you wish.

I see you are not too far off from being your own independent producer and you will soon be the one hiring!  Keep up the great work and have a creative day!
