Hi Everyone,

I am taking music videos from Final Cut and putting them into the compressor
in order to make a DVD. When doing so, do I have to turn the frame rate "ON"
on both the video and the audio? Or just one?

Thanks,

Vanessa

**CORRECTION:**
It is the "frame control" that I need to know if we need to turn both the
audio and MPEG "on" when compressing. We are converting an NTSC from a
BetaCam SP.

Sorry about the confusion.

Assuming your source movie is from an interlaced lower field dominant
source (Betacam) with audio, then you can leave the frame controls for
MPEG-2 compression settings and AC3 audio settings OFF. What CODEC was
used to capture the Betacam clip(s)? Is the footage 4:3 or 16:9
anamorphic, and what are the pixel dimensions of that source QT file?
Be careful about compressing a 720x486 QT into a 720x480 MPEG-2 video
file, the result is ugly if the movie is not cropped properly (which
Compressor should do automatically).
