Error - Unable to connect to database...

Hi

I have installed SOFA V1.5.4 on a Windows 10 PC. 

When I try run Statistics on any dataset I get the error "Unable to connect to dataset defined in project default.proj. Please check settings". i get this error with the default project or any custom project too. The same error occurred on a fresh install on a different machine too.

I have tried replacing the sofastats folder with the recovery folder and replacing the sofa_db file with the recovery folder too. Error persists.

By the way, other functions like Edit/Enter data, Import data, Report tables, Charts - all work.

Any pointers towards a solution? Thanks in advance.

Hi Harsha,

Apologies for the problem. It sounds like something is badly broken with the Windows packaging for 1.5.4. I'll ask you for some more details but first a question to all Windows 10 users out there - has anyone using Windows 10 been able to install 1.5.4 successfully?
