Dear All
Further to our earlier emails, we would like to make some amendments to the initial announcements. It is understood that the 60hrs of praise is to run through the actual birthday of Pastor Felix which is on 31st January. As a result we would be moving the schedule by 1 week.
As mentioned earlier our dear Pastor Felix Makanjuola will be celebrating his 60th birthday this month and as part of our appreciation to God for his life, he has requested that the SOD 2012/2013 Students join in a 60hrs of non-stop praise session.
The timing for this is from Thursday 30th Jan (12 noon) till Sunday 1st February (12midnight). In consideration for our peculiar situation here with respect to this timing, it has been agreed that a schedule will be drawn where we can individually praise God at a suitable location and mode for a period of 20 minutes.
Kindly refer to the attached document to know what day and time you have been scheduled. The schedule is in hourly slots with three people in each slot for 20mins each. For example there is a time slot of 9am to 10am and you are under
"1st 20mins" it means you'll be praising & thanking from 9.00 to 9.20.
"2nd 20mins" means from 9.20 to 9.40
"3rd 20mins" means from 9.40 to 10am
As mentioned earlier, this is to be done at a location and in a mode of your choice. The central theme is that for the assigned 20mins we are praising and thanking God generally and specifically for the life of Pastor Felix.
As a reminder please note that various considerations were put into developing this schedule and while we may not have developed something suitable for all, we request your understanding and cooperation. However if for any reasons, the time is not suitable, please feel free to find someone else you can exchange with. The only thing is to ensure that the time allotted to you is covered. Also for the ease of timing, we have focused on only the SOD students based in Doha, Qatar. Those of us outside Qatar are free to participate as well. If you are in Doha and cannot find your name, please let us know and we will see how to rectify this.
The Word of God encourages us to rejoice with them that rejoice and give honor to whom honor is due. Let's rejoice with Pastor Felix during this season in honour of his spiritual deposits in our lives.
Please reply on this forum should you have any other clarifications.
Thank you and God bless!
