Hey Support Outreach and Community Subcommittee!
A few of our fellow SOCers were thinking that it would be nice to provide for ourselves in this committee what we want to provide to the whole SSC: support!
So we thought it might be nice to make that the focus of our next conversation. Here are some ideas. We thought this could be the center of our next conference call (but I sort of cringe at that name "conference call" as much as i do at "meeting", so i'm gonna call it our conversation).
The main reflection question: HOW ARE YOU? As we try to make the world
a more wonderful place, all kinds of pressures arise (from within and
without), so this is the space where we as SOC organizers take the time
to share that experience and support each other.
And to relate this to how WE relate to each other, you might consider this question:
How well is the current SOC structure and process working
…for me personally?
…for the goals we have set?
…for the SSC and movement?
(i.e. what is working well, what obstacles we're facing, and potential inspirations for moving forward.)
How might we integrate this internal support better into our regular committee process?
Possible agenda:
-A centering exercise to bring our thoughts fully into the conversation
-Go around – How are you? (this will be most of the conversation, if we even finish)
-Thoughts on how this relates to our committee process
YAY! Let me know what you think! I'll send around a meeting wizard, but that's just code for party invitation.
Love,
-Jason
