A reminder to all, checking in on our call too-doos:
*caroline check in with jon and kristin on p2p: Kristin said she wants to talk at Shindig, so we can get her specific feedback on the proposal we sent.
*people make sure things are done on your end for sprog follow-up: is everyone done receiving googledocs, reaching their point people, sending out flyers, etc. ?
*caroline take a first stab at shindig supplies list: can everyone look at the supplies list and confirm what they're bringing, if anything?
*SOC party on friday or saturday???
*aaron draft final follow-up email by tonight (peeps look out for it to edit!)

Aaron- from the notes, to help you draft the email:

(background: questions asked that led us to decide on follow-up email:)
-who are our rockstar sprogs for follow-up? can we showcase them as a way of inspiring/sharing ideas with other teams -who needs extra following up, help, encouragement? -any other things we need to do to ensure follow-up is happening?

Angela: final email to all point people outlining what they’ve accomplished, why it’s important, reiterating “last moment of bugging you”…

Aaron: sent to all trainers!

Amanda: highlight point person- who is there soc sub contact. “tell us your story, we’ll share it at shindig”

Cool!

Shindig food for thought (from SOC @ Shindig 09 googledoc:

1. SOC Tour guides -- all we really need to do is figure out how to ID ourselves during shindig. It can be as simple as having a gold star sticker on our name tags [and then we would have to actually wear the name tags...]. I think the decision for us to be point people is pretty simple; but we should still take it 'seriously', and start thinking about how to be accessible.
-- i already suggested the sunburn thing. sooo its settled!

2. SOC HOP -- Needs/who can fill those needs. off the top of my head:
  • music
  • a dj!..
  • badass speakers...
  • PUNCH
  • strobe light? -- i asked gabe to bring his in case it becomes necessary
  • twinkle lights -- i can probably wrangle some up from my parents' basement
----YESSS PUNCH SO KEY
----i veto srobe light, unless maybe we can have like a strobe light corner? they give me headache.
--- i can start working on music i guess but so can all of us :)

 3. SOC -- We hashed this out a bit on the last call [and probably will do more so on the next call/at a potential pre-shindig meet-up] -- but what are our real goals/priorities for shindig. Are there tangible things we want to come out with??? Ex. # of new names for our listserv, visioning goal, etc.
 - recruitment
 - debrief and review from last year
 - goal setting and planning for next year

 - facetime for buddies, promote p2p
 - congratulate participants of succesful sprog follow-up, to "institutionalize" it into ssc/sprog culture
 - help shindig participants to feel sense of community and nourish positive atmosphere

4. Pre-Shindig hanging out:

- sleepover at my house if you want DINNER PARTY
- some planning, some party
- i think here we should set our goals for SHINDIG and set the soc agenda. last year we just went in and figured ourselves out. this year i would love for us to go in with an agenda and a schedule and show people how prepared and badass we are.
