soc proposal status

Hey All,

Just talked to Holly, who said I should be getting a call soon from Kat.

They're going to have us send an email out to the cons com list serve and kat will follow up with an email out to everyone to explain it

just so we can get it passed quickly with out having a call.

That said, are we chatting this tuesday? I'll keep you posted on what I hear from Kat. How are the guide and other soc things going?

Hi ya'll!

Whew, how time flys.  I have it on my plan to be talking tomorrow, Tuesday at 4:00 pm pacific.  Anyone interested in facilitating a call?  It seems as though the wheels are turning to get ConsCom's approval prior to Power Shift.  Now the ball is back in our court to work up a plan for how to roll out this program (and if we want to do it prior to Power Shift, time is of the essence). 

Ok, I've had enough of my funny expressions.  So if you've had enough too, let's all get on the phone tomorrow at 7:00 pm eastern, 4:00 pm pacific and get this plan in motion!  If there is 2+ more people who can make the call, I say let's do it!

holly, maura and i thought it made the most sense for y'all to just send the proposal out for comments from conscom and that you should present it to excom without a conscom vote given the level of support that has been expressed, particularly at the retreat.

maura said that y'all werent' on the excom call this week, so you could send it out now and present to excom in 2 weeks? there is one on thursday and then one two weeks from thursday

kelsea makes the agendas

if you think the comments from cons comm make sense, incorporate them

otherwise, try to address the comments and why you don't feel they should be adopted

I'll call Kelsea and see if we can get on this week's agenda... though I heard it's tight. So we should probably plan on getting proposal to Ex Comm by tomorrow (accompanied with an email) and being on the Ex comm call 2 weeks from this thursday.
