Dearest SOC Sub,

I wanted to send you all a shout-out for all the hard work you're
doing right now, many of you on Power Vote. Now is an exceptionally
busy time for campaign work, with this critical election, and changing
the course of history and all.. I wanted to let ya'll know that I
think it's wise to have pushed SOC Sub stuff to a back burner while we
kick campaign butt. There is so much energy and good will in this
group that I know we will revive ourselves once Power Vote/other
projects have wound down.

I need to point out that some of us are kicking notable big fat
climate booty on Power Vote:
-St. Mary's College of Maryland has consistently been #1 for
percentage of school reached --> Yeah Aaron!
-Montgomery County Student Environmental Activists hasn't had a week
out of the top ten pledge collectors in the nation --> WOOT WOOT
Gabe!

I'm sure the rest of you are doing amazing things too that aren't
being recognized up on the Power Vote website. So keep rockin them!
Don't feel bad that SOC has dropped off our radar screens for right
now. Cause we'll be back together soon at the Cons Com retreat, and
back in action before then on a conf call I'm sure (after all this
other craziness tones down).

Love,
Jenny

Yo Yo SOC!
This email got me real excited and made me feel the SOC Sub love, all the way across the country! So exciting, I'm glad y'all got to hear a little bit of what Gabe and I have been up to (rocking PV), but I KNOW everybody else is up to cool stuff too! I know Amanda's doing some work on PV and preparing to go abroad next semeter, and Caroline's holding in down in Navajo Nation, as well as rockin it on the PowerShift 09 steering committee, and Jason's being his usual sweet self up in MN! So, basically: I would love to hear what everybody is up to! We tried to do this on a conference call earlier, but lets face it- those are overrated and slightly awkward. Lets get some love flowin' and hear what everybody is up to.

I also agree with Jenny that after this election, things with SOC are going to happen at a crazy rate! One thing though: Jon is trying to get someone form SOC to profile a sweet SSC'er for the November newsletter. If anyone is down to interview this awesome girl, I have her contact info (her name is escaping me), and can give it to you- but if not- I would be more than happy to do this! Sweet!

MUCH SOC LOVE!!!
Aaron

hi all,
I just wanted to check in with SOC to see who is going to come rep' it at winter gathering.  I really hope that someone can make it so that we can all get closer to the same page.  Keep up all the awesomeness!
