SPROG Followup Time!

Everybody, grab your color blocks, cause we're ready to roll!!

Directions:

Call directors of your SPROG first.

Tell them these points:

• SOC is facilitating the initial SPROG follow up by providing the talking points and a phonebank time, if needed.
• SOC is not calling each Sprogger
  • The directors of each SPROG will be point person for delegating calls between themselves and the trainers
  • example: each trainer calls their family group.

• Talking points will/have been emailed to you detailing what the Sproggers should know about and what SOC needs to know about them

• Have they made a spreadsheet to track your sprogger followup?
  • Yes: Share us
  • No: We will make a global one on the Trainings Google Spreadsheet once this phonebank is done. Are you shared on that?

Briefly go over and email these talking points for them and their trainers to talk to their sproggers about:

1. Transition from Trainings Committee to SOC Sub

• Explain what SOC is:
  • SOC (pronounced as sock) Sub, Support Outreach and Community Subcommittee, is part of the Conservation Committee in the SSC. It's role is to connect and support students from across the country in campaigns and foster a sense of community within the SSC. They're going to be working closely with campus organizers and community coordinators on their local campaigns and how to incorporate Power Vote work into them as well as implementing cool projects like regional meetups and a SSC cookbook.
    
• Explain why this transition happening to Sproggers:
  • Trainers/directors don't have capacity to do this "intense" follow up, SOC does!
  • SOC's role in the Sierra Student Coalition is to provide campaign support and foster community/culture, so keeping in touch with sproggers is the perfect starting point to keep them excited and inspired.
    

• Explain how SOC will support them:

• Call for events and actions that they can plug into
• If they want, monthly calls for personal and campaign support
  

2. Build a Non-creepy Sprogger Profile

• Any particular enviro interest (EJ, energy, policy, art, etc.)
• Any projects working on right now/thought of
• Plans for working on campus or in community
• Where (what state/area) are they planning on organizing in?

Ask the directors if they would like us to call the trainers from their SPROG about this as well, or if they have it from here.

Make a date to follow up with them by latest Sept. 1.

Call the trainers of your SPROG if the director asks you to do so.

Oh sorry about that, I was really vague. The talking points we need to email the directors is the second part of the email. The part where they talk to the sproggers about. I can give you a call tomorrow if it doesn't make sense, which is a large probability cause I'm bad at explaining this. So in other words, copy and paste "1. Transitioning from.." to "Where are they planning on.." and that's what we're emailing the directors and trainers.
