SOC SUB: Peer 2 Peer Program link

Hey there,

 

The Support, Outreach and Community Subcommittee (SOC Sub) wants to kick off the Peer 2 Peer Program (formerly known as the Mentorship Program) this summer/fall. In an effort to organize a way to sign up, other committee members and myself thought it could be easiest to have a button on the SSC's website, which would direct interested people to a form with pertinent questions.

 

Naturally, I don't think we know what goes into creating a 'button' to a form; so I was wondering if you could give us some insight about the possibility of getting that link up. I think we have a form prepared, so we just need to know the next step.

Hey,

Thanks for getting back to me so fast!

Like I said, we (or at least I) are no tech savvy; but the 'box' you mentioned sounds exactly what we're looking for.

I think it would just be leading to the google form we have. I will get in touch with caroline, who I think has the form, and see about getting it to you.

Does that sound good?

This is exciting!  I'm glad this is getting kicked off.  Making a button is a little tricky--it involves some graphic design with tools that I don't have.  If you really wanted a button, we'd have to go to a student who had something like Photoshop. 

An easier way would be to feature it in a box on the left hand side of the page (where it says "Stay connected to the SSC").  I could put whatever text you want in there, pics, and a big link to a sign up page.

What kind of page were you thinking of creating?  A google form, or something more involved?
