Dear SOCS Cyclists,

As we have entered the Christmas and Hanukkah season and we have several cycling brothers that are dealing with challenging medical conditions, I am writing to ask you to pray for God’s healing powers and His encouragement for Jim Bishop, Myles Folger, Bruce Cleeremans, Ray Gilbuena, Jim Mullen and Dan Abrams. Our cycling friendships are about much more than cycling… I know that all of you deeply care for the guys that ride with us. They become great friends and brothers that I believe God brings together to teach us all lessons of teamwork, personal concern and mutual support. I am committed to praying for the men I have mentioned and ask that you please do the same. Thanks gentlemen! Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!

In was so good to see you all this morning…Bruce is so spot on with the fellowship’s that we share.

I would like to wish every one a Merry Christmas🎄 & Happy 🕎 Hanukah.

For an update on my cancer…it is diagnosed as Myelodysplastic Syndrome. (MDS) a rare blood cancer that does a number on Red Blood cells. Candace and myself went up to City of Hope just a couple of weeks ago to get second opinion on treatment and prognosis. We left feeling hopeful…

I am just waiting for insurance to change and more appointments with City of Hope here in Irvine.

The only way to eradicate this cancer is Tcell bone marrow transplant. We feel vey hopeful with this and we are moving on with City of Hope. It does require a month or two in the hospital, and another month of being the bubble boy.

Have a great Christmas & Hanukah season and hope to be back on the bike soon
