Hi Everyone,

This group is for the South Orange County Spokesmen (SOCS). We are a group of cyclists from South Orange County CA who typically ride three days per week at an average pace of 15-16 mph. Our motto is "Nobody Rides Alone".

This group site is for sharing ride, rider and route info as well as pictures and anything else that has to do with riding a bike as part of SOCS.

Feel free to start a discussion, post a picture, pass along ride information or share your experiences from a ride.

Please join us for any of our weekly rides. Please arrive a few minutes early as we leave promptly at the designated times! Email us or check the information below for any questions you may have. Let's have some fun and ride safe!

Monday: Meet at Gelson's Monarch Bay (Crown Valley and PCH) or at Dana Point Harbor across from the Ocean Institute at 7:00am for an easy ride (recovery ride) south through Dana Point and San Clemente to the Christianitos Gate of Camp Pendleton and return with a coffee stop in San Clemente (22-27 miles).

Wednesday: Meet at 7:00am at the Rock N Road Cyclery Store in Laguna Niguel (on LaPaz between Avila and Pacific Park) for a ride to Lake Forest, Sand Canyon, past UCI, thru Newport Back Bay, CDM, Laguna Beach and back up the Canyon with a coffee stop at Crystal Cove (40 miles).

Saturday: Typically start at either Gelson's or Rock N Road at 7:00 am. Route is announced via email and/or notice on this portal on Thursday or Friday. Rides are usually 45-60 miles with a coffee stop in the latter half of the ride.
