Hi Gardeners,
Interfaith Food Pantry of the Oranges will be accepting our produce donation this week.
If you would like to donate, please visit your plot between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning by 9am to pick what you wish to give and place it in the marked bins. I will deliver the bins to the pantry for distribution to those in need at 9am on Wednesday.
If you cannot visit the garden yourself, but would like to donate, please email me at marn...@mac.com with your plot number and a detailed description of what you want harvested. Either I, or another gardener, can harvest from your plot.
IFPO is incredibly grateful for your donations!
Food for thought: I am happy to be in charge of these weekly deliveries while I am available. Beginning August 13th, however, I will no longer be available to coordinate the drop-offs. Our plots are going strong, and I bet by then the vegetables will be practically leaping out of the ground. Let's find a way to keep the surplus going where it's needed. If you think you can chip in, the folks at IFPO will probably applaud for you when you arrive with the bins. I'm not kidding. They really like our veggies.
