Another way in which I have found to be easy is if u hold the lock in the palm of your,  holding the top of the lock down. Dial the combination and it will open right away.

I've heard from some gardeners who have had trouble opening the new lock on the garden gate.

The combination is the same as before: 5-4-5-8.

Make sure the numbers are aligned. Then, push the lock in and pull it open in one motion.

I've noticed myself that when you just pull it it doesn't always open.

Line up the numbers, push it in and quickly pull it open.

Give it a go and let me know how it goes.
