Hi Gardeners,
This is a good weekend to clean out your plot at the community garden.
  • Remove all of the plants and weeds in and around your plot. Bag 'em and take 'em out of the garden.
  • Remove any mulch you have on your plot, as well as any posts, poles, screws, nails, stones, gnomes and anything else you put in your plot. All that should be left is soil.
  • Turn your plot over to expose any bugs or fungus that has burrowed down into the soil. Rake it flat so the next gardener will have a clean palette next spring.
Remember that your plot should be cleared no later than Nov. 2. Gardeners who do not clear their plots run the risk that they will not get a spot in the garden next season.
