Hi,

There was a mail from the gthumb maintainer to thank people about GNOME
participation to GHOP:
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/foundation-list/2008-January/msg00022.html

So I'm forwarding the thanks here :-)

Also, if you read the thread, you'll see that RMS would prefer that
GNOME is referred to as a free software project, and not as an open
source project. I have the feeling that Google only uses the "open
source" expression, and not "free software", though. Would such a change
be possible in a future GHOP/GSoC (if there's a future GHOP/GSoC)?

Thanks,

Vincent

Thanks for forwarding it to us, it's nice to see that kind of thing.

WRT os vs fs , we're not going to take a position on this one. We like both terms and the people behind them :-)

Did you mean on the page there? Maybe we can change that to 'floss' projects or something. I'll chat with Leslie about it when we're both in the same country.

Which page? I think we're talking about
http://code.google.com/opensource/ghop/ but I'm not sure.

Thanks very much for sending us this feedback Vincent, it means a lot to us.

RMS was not clear either, but I think he was talking about this page,
yes.
