Yes, it is production ready.  We have been using it everywhere that we used to use express, and it's been awesome!

As far as scaling with Redis, it should scale although it may be a little more work once you have to partition your redis infrastructure.  Soon partitioning will be part of the redis core:


Until that happy day, you have to invest a little time and work out you're own partitioning strategy like here:
