I am also waiting on this one. I also saw some other services like
Can find how all are different and which one to choose. Kaazing looks good too.

Thanks,
Sumit

Sorry...
I'm a greenhand in "socket.io".
I join the group this morning.

Different WebSocket solutions have different features and capabilities, just like all web servers implement HTTP, but some are better than others. If you create a Web server, for example, and implement HTTP, that does not mean you have all of the features, capabilities, and power of an Apache web server.

Kaazing provides a high performance enterprise WebSocket server.
Here are some things you should look for in your WebSocket platform:

1) WebSocket Emulation for older browsers: while most modern browsers support WebSockets natively, the majority of browsers out there are older without any WebSocket support. Having high performance bullet proof emulation is critical for many years to come. Kaazing provides exceptionally good WebSocket emulation. Here you find further details on WebSocket emulation...

2) Traversing proxies, firewalls, and load balancing routers: the WebSocket communication is very often interrupted by hostile network intermediaries. The Kaazing WebSocket Gateway is a highly optimized, proxy-aware WebSocket gateway. In the field, we have been able to establish a WebSocket connection — either native or emulated — to the Kaazing WebSocket Gateway 100% of the time. Here you find further details on traversing proxies...

3) Security: when running your business over the Web, security is paramount. With support for true end-to-end encryption, various types of authentication, and authorization, you can integrate Kaazing with you LDAP and SSO solutions. Here you find further details on Kaazing's security...

4) Client technologies: while more and more applications are moving to the Web and HTML5, in addition to JavaScript, Kaazing has support for a wide variety of other client technologies: Java/Java FX, Flash/Flex, and Silverlight/.Net. Here you find further details on client technologies...

5) Enterprise robustness: the Kaazing WebSocket Gateway can terminate SSL, be clustered for high availability, perform its own load balancing, and supports disaster recoverability. Here you find further details on high availability...

6) Higher level protocols: Kaazing offers a range of rich business protocols on top of WebSockets: JMS (can run against any back-end JMS message broker), AMQP, and XMPP. You can also run your own custom protocol over WebSockets.

Hope this helps,
Peter
