Please send this urgent message to all graduate students

 

 

GRADUATE STUDENTS TAKE NOTE--Money Running Low

 

Money to fund travel to conferences for presenting papers and for supporting research-related expenses is running low. Awards are not guaranteed funding--no matter how good your paper, no matter how brilliant your justification for research-related funds. The funds are awarded first come first serve. When the money is gone, so is your opportunity for support from this source.

 

If you have a request to make--say for support to present a paper at the ASA meetings--do not wait. Get your request by the end of this week: It will soon be too late.

 

Similarly, if you wish to apply for a Shaffer award, your application must be received no later than next Monday, May 14th. Applications after that date may not receive full consideration.
