*Job Description:

The Student Development GA will be responsible for assisting the Scholarships & Financial Aid staff with all aspects of student development programming. Training will be grounded in financial aid, student development, and retention programming.
Duties will include:
Design, develop, and implement programming and outreach initiatives to engage and inform the Regents' Scholars. This includes coordinate the Aggie Pals Program with Bertram Elementary School, assisting with the coordination of the Regents' Scholars Sophomore Learning Community (RS2LC), assisting with articles for the Regents' Review newsletters, assisting with the planning of Regents' Scholars events, assisting with the develop and planning of the Regents' Scholars Orientation to include co-supervising the Regents' Scholars Orientation Planning Board and Orientation Counselor program, and providing general customer service and financial aid, academic and student life advising to Regents' Scholars.
Assisting with monthly advisor meetings for the Century Scholars Program.
Assisting with scholarship advising meetings for scholarship recipients.
Researching special topics related to first generation and diverse student recruitment and retention issues.

*Qualifications:

Graduate student enrolled full-time. Prefer students in Higher Educational Administration or Student Affairs.
