GIC:

Many of the students who received professional development grants from the College are planning international trips for study purposes.  Although these are not TAMU-organized study abroad trips, the students are required to register with study abroad.  You may also have other students traveling abroad on other funds this summer for field work – they need to register too, as do students who are presenting papers at international conferences.  Students should be able to do most, possibly all,  of this online.

Also, if one of your students is one for whom we had to transfer funds to the department to administer rather than us just posting to their student account, the student must be registered in CONCUR to obtain travel reimbursements. They need to work with appropriate departmental staff to accomplish that.

Please make sure your students register appropriately if going abroad.  We have had some real disasters in a few instances in which the University was unable to provide much help to students because they had failed to register their travel appropriately in advance of leaving the country.

Thanks

pat
