SASA Congress 2025 Registration and Abstract Submission deadline

I hope this email finds you well and in good health. 

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION : 

I am writing this email as a final reminder that abstracts are to be submitted to the relevant working group convener AND the UMP LOC via email no later than 20th May 2025. It is the participant's responsibility to ensure that both the LOC and Convener are included in their email submission. The LOC email is as follows: sasa2025conference @ump.ac.za and the list with emails for conveners is attached here too. If you are not sure which working group is appropriate for your abstract then please consult this link with descriptions to the themes that each of the groups engage: https://sociology.africa/annual-conference/sasa-working-groups 

REGISTRATION AND INVOICING: 

The registration information for the 2025 Congress is listed below in the attached file. The LOC has kindly requested that participants include their billing address on their submission forms for easier processing. This is also a reminder that it is not SASA Council but the UMP LOC that handles invoicing for Congress and can only do so once you have registered via the link :https://forms.office.com/r/Zq0hpAziiv . Also please note that your registration will only be complete once you provide UMP with proof of payment at sasa2025c...@ump.ac.za. 

SASA MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL/JOINING: 

If you have not done so yet, please renew your SASA membership by following information on : https://sociology.africa/members-community/membership-renewals 

I am hopeful that this provides some clarity for some of the queries received thus far - if not please don't hesitate to email the UMP LOC via the email address stated above and/or revert to the Secretariat. There will be more information shared within the upccoming week regarding possible accommodation options and other relevant information too.
