You don't often get email from pjo...@hku.hk. Learn why this is important

Dear RC16 (Sociological Theory) members,

I'm writing with two items.

First, our new newsletter is now available here: https://www.isa-sociology.org/en/research-networks/research-committees/rc16-sociological-theory. This issue is basically the program for our upcoming midterm conference, "Sociology of the Future /
The Future of Sociology" which will be held in Innsbruck (July 2-4). The abstracts enclosed offer a very nice survey of the membership's diverse theoretical projects. Many thanks to Frank Welz, our newsletter editor, for his work with this, and for organizing the conference itself!

Second, I am attaching a CFP for an exciting special issue of Cultural Sociology on the topic of Janet Wolff that is being planned by Maria Rovisco, Laura Harris, and Linzhi Zhang. The deadline for submissions is Sept 16

If you have anything that you would like to share with the membership during our next email blast, please send these items to me.

Best wishes,

Paul (Secretary-treasurer, RC16)
