Social Movements and Popular Protest Working Group
The 2025 SASA Annual Conference theme is Colonial Legacies, Postcolonial Realities: South Africa, 30 Years Later. The Social Movements and Popular Protest (SMPP) Working Group invites abstracts for papers to be presented at the 30th Annual Conference of the South African Sociological Association that will take place at the University of Mpumalanga.
We invite abstracts that speak to the thematic focus of the annual conference and those that address the issues broadly related to protest, "activism" and popular resistance.

The deadline for receiving abstracts is Tuesday, 20 May 2025.

Clinical Sociology Working Group
The 2025 SASA Annual Conference theme is Colonial Legacies, Postcolonial Realities: South Africa, 30 Years Later. The Clinical Sociology Working Group invites abstracts for papers to be presented at the 30th Annual Conference of the South African Sociological Association that will take place at the University of Mpumalanga.
We invite abstracts that engage with the thematic focus of the annual conference, especially those grounded in clinical sociology that offer practice-based insights or intervention-oriented solutions to social problems.
