Miner in distributed application?

I have installed and tested the miner in my application, and it works great when I am running the application through there.  However, when I export a release build, it shows up and says it only works in debug versions.    I guess that makes sense, but then, is it possible/how do you build a debug version of an air app to give to select people for debugging purposes, so I can utilize the miner to find issues?
