Invitation for Facilitation Practice Group

One of the benefits of membership in SocioNet is participation in
study circles and practice groups. Following the successful
completion of the prototype facilitation practice group this fall, we
are pleased to announce the first regular group beginning January 19,
2011.
The purpose of the facilitation practice group is to provide an
opportunity for SocioNet members to improve their facilitation skills,
especially in challenging situations, with support from other members
and real-time coaching. We strongly request that only members with
recent facilitation experience and / or training participate, in order
to contribute to learning, ease, and meaning for all.
The group will meet by telephone from 10:15 AM to 12 PM on the
following dates: January 19, 26, February 2, 9, 16, 23, 2011. The
group is limited to five participants, and I will serve as coordinator
and coach. Each participant will have the opportunity to practice
facilitating during two of the six sessions, and will have the
opportunity to be overall call facilitator on one occasion.
