A.G. Krishna Menon received his B. Arch (Hons.) degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, an M.S. in Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago and an M.S. in Urban Planning from Columbia University, New York. After working as an architectural and planning consultant in the US and India, he started him own professional practice in 1989 in New Delhi which he continues to date. He has taught at the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi and in 1990 he co-founded the TVB School of Habitat Studies in New Delhi. He is a founding member of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) since 1984 for whom he has carried out several pioneering urban conservation projects all over the country. He has been the member of several national committees, including for drafting the Master Plan of Delhi 2021, and the National Capital Region Master Plan, 2021.
