Yesterday, in a Star Hotel in Kolkata, there was a Bengali Wedding Function

The board at the entrance to the Venue Read

 Pinki weds Chiku

Someone asked the bride's father - why did you use their nicknames and not their proper names?

The father said the hotel management refused and threatened to cancel the booking if I insisted on using the real names of the couple. It would have read:

"Mamata weds Narendra"
