Dear All

I came across an interesting comparison that made me reflect on our own governance model:

China has no reservation,
no independent judiciary,
no real elections,
no freedom of speech,
no corruption that publicly surfaces,
and no freebies.

The thought experiment was simple:
If we were to remove all these criteria in India—even suspend democracy for just five years—would our country accelerate its progress and efficiency to a level comparable with China?

While we value our democratic rights and institutions, this contrast reminds us how deeply our systems influence speed of decision-making, governance quality, and national outcomes. It is worth reflecting on where reforms are essential so that India can progress swiftly without compromising its democratic soul.

Essentially what this country's governance  have  given us over the  last decades post independence primarily to call or feel proud,  happy ,feel safe and secure  about.

Please share your thoughts honestly and truthfully

Warm regards& Namasthe
Sundaram

We can achieve many more things by scrapping the existing outdated constitution with a new written constitution in which …..

1. every citizen of this country has to undergo military training and work a for minimum period of three years in defence services
2. There should be limited freedom of speech / expression and with limited  property rights.
3. All the existing laws and acts to be enforced with in a time frame by amending them
4. Bharat that is India’s new constitution no words like socialist  and secular in the preamble.
5. Severe punishment for corruption
6 . No All  India services
7. Promotions purely on merit
8. Same pay for same work
9.  No discrimination and no gender biases
10. Only two political parties with compulsory voting for the candidates by voters with minimum qualification

Enough for now …..any takers
