Senior Mechanical Engineer
The candidate will be responsible for producing engineering and design
deliverables necessary for project and proposal execution.
• Experience supporting proposal work
• Experience with B31.5
• FRP Experience
• Experience in reviewing specifications
• Experience being a lead on projects
• Piping experience
• Experience in the Petrochemical industry
• PE is a plus
Major responsibilities:
• Preparing and delivering work packages (drawings, calculations,
specifications, bills of materials, material requisitions, etc.) to
the Lead Discipline Engineer or Project Engineer on schedule.
• Conformance to contract for all engineering and material
• Monitoring man-hour and material estimates (EAC) and reporting
changes.
Educational and Experience:
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering required
• Industry experience (air pollution/pulp and paper)
• Stress Analysis using Caesar II
• Experience in equipment specification, purchase, and drawing
reviews.
• Support Proposal Work
• Perform Engineering Studies
• Preparing and delivering work packages on schedule and within budget
(drawings, calculations, specifications, bills of materials, material
requisitions, etc.)
• Prepare Technical Specifications for Mechanical Equipment (For
example Pressure Vessels, Refrigeration Equipment, Heat Exchangers
Cooling Towers, Pumps, Dampers, Fans, Compressors, Expansion Joints,
etc.), Packaged Equipment Systems (For Example Dewatering, Lime,
Carbon Injection, Sulfuric Acid, and Anhydrous Ammonia, etc)
• Perform drawings reviews of both in-house and Supplier drawings.
• Mechanical Engineers may also be required to PE Stamp drawings for
in-house drawings.
• Calculations for sizing Mechanical Equipment.
• Purchasing equipment—prepare requisitions, perform bid reviews,
conforming specifications and supporting purchasing
• Provided support for construction and commissioning activities
• Knowledge and experience working with pressure vessels, heat
exchangers and refrigeration systems a plus.
Knowledge:
• B31 Piping Codes
• Composite Piping Systems
• Plastic Piping Systems
• Carbon and Alloy Steel Piping Systems
Ability:
• Able to independently perform routine calculations and analyses.
• Basic knowledge of company products
• Basic PC knowledge
• Demonstrates initiative, team work and commitment
**Office work environment; some travel**
