Hi to everyone!

Nice to reconnect.  I'm back to South Sudan.  DFA still bans any deployment to this country but I went around the restriction by traveling to Uganda first and stayed a few nights in Kampala.  From Uganda I traveled to Juba and I arrived here yesterday.  I am a member of an international team formulating South Sudan's 25-year Comprehensive Agricultural Development Master Plan.  This is being funded through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

A group in my province (Camarines Norte) is pushing me to run for governor in 2016.  So I joined the Centrist Democratic Party of the Philippines (CDP) upon the invitation of Dr Serafin Talisayon.  I'm not sure if it's a good idea because the criteria in our traditional political system is not educational qualification or track record or integrity but money.  Those pushing for my candidacy think that I have the qualifications except the last one.  Any suggestion folks?  I'm actually keen on writing a book rather than joining politics when I come back.

I was one of your campaign managers when you ran for governor of CNorte last time. I was then a seminarian working in the cathedral of Daet. We lost some but won some also.

Though I am now in Singapore, I will still campaign for you. I think I have a handful of Kabayans here.

For me, It's ok if you run in 2016. It is also ok if you don't run.

Nike thanks!  I actually didn't know at that time that you handled some of my campaign.  I will always be grateful.  

There's a group as early as 2012 which formed the "Dr Philip Penaflor for Governor Movement".  They wanted me to run in the 2013 local elections but I declined.  They're still pushing me to run in 2016.  In my heart I don't want to.  I want to do other things and I love my privacy.  If ever I decide to contest in 2016 it is for those who believe that change can happen.  Let's see.  I still have six months to decide.
