The AAA deadline for submissions is quickly approaching (April 26th) and in-person paper presentation submissions are only accepted in organized panels. As such, SAS is working to assist everyone in organizing panels by connecting those who would like to present in-person with organizers and sessions relevant to their topic.
Please share this information with your students and others who may be interested in participating, but also are unsure of how to connect with others to form panels. Also, consider organizing a panel. Remember, you do not have to present in a panel to be the organizer! Also, organizing a panel does not count as a major role, which means that participation is not limited by this. You can present in one panel and organize another.
Ways to support students, early scholars, and each other:
· Organize a panel in addition to your plans to present or participate in other ways,
· Share this information with students and others who are interested,
o Attached email sent to student members
o Upcoming Zoom meeting (time & date TBA)
o Do not have to be members of SAS to participate in a SAS reviewed session
· Connect with others for organized panels,
o Use the SAS listserv (society-for-anthro...@googlegroups.com)
o Email the SAS Program Committee
o Zoom meeting (time & date TBA)
· Posters and pre-recorded submissions are still available.
Thanks!
