It’s that time of year when we need to start planning for
the annual AAA “Unsettling Landscapes” Annual Meetings in Seattle, WA (9-12
November 2022). The meetings are hybrid with both in-person and virtual
options. Access additional information here AAA
General Call for Participation. The submission portal is open at Submission
Portal.
The program committee (Toni Copeland, Ian Skoggard, Victor de Munck, Caitlyn Placek, and Stephen Chrisomalis) is excited to see a strong pool of SAS relevant papers and panels this year, and we’re happy to work with you to try and match people with overlapping interests. Contributions from students, pre-tenure scholars, applied or practicing anthropologists, and individuals from groups underrepresented in the academy are particularly desirable. Please reach out to Toni Copeland (tonico...@gmail.com) or other members of the committee with ideas about panels that you may be thinking about putting together.
The deadline to start your submission for a paper, poster, panel, or workshop is 11:59 PM EDT on Wednesday March 30, 2022. After that you can work on submissions already started, but not start anything new. The deadline for completing all submissions to the AAA website is 11:59 PM EDT on Wednesday April 6, 2022. This is earlier than in previous years, so please plan ahead!
SAS is committed to a broad,
integrative, holistic vision of anthropological science. We are happy to host
panels, posters or papers from any subfield or topic that fits within the
mission of the Society (http://www.societyforanthropologicalsciences.org/p/about.html). So please think of us when putting together
panels, posters, or papers!
