Please see the following call for panelists for a paper session on cultural adaptation in global mental health at the SfAAs/SAS conference in the spring.

Cultural Adaptation in Global Mental Health
Cultural adaptation in global mental health research involves modifying interventions to enhance cultural sensitivity while preserving fidelity and effectiveness. Data-driven adaptation improves ecological validity and patient outcomes, yet researchers often face challenges such as balancing stakeholder perspectives and securing buy-in across disciplines. This panel aims to foster dialogue on cultural adaptation, highlighting lessons learned and strategies to address barriers when working with diverse teams. By sharing experiences, we seek to advance approaches that make mental health interventions more relevant, effective, and sustainable across cultural contexts, ultimately strengthening both research and practice in global public mental health.
If you are interested, please email your title and 100-word abstract to me (cpla...@hfhg.org) and my co-organizer, Linda Kaljee (lkal...@hfhs.org) no later than Thursday, October 9th. We welcome submissions from practitioners and academics at all career stages.

Best,
Caity
