By now you have probably seen at least one of the notices inviting abstract submissions for the 2023 SfAA conference in Cincinnati, for which SAS is once again a co-sponsoring organization. That means that regardless of whether you are a SfAA member you can register - simply indicate ‘SAS’ as the group you’re a member of in your registration, and get the ‘co-sponsoring member’ rate for registration ($225, or students $90). Similarly, remember to select SAS as the section for reviewing your abstract to ensure that it gets to our program committee.
The deadline is tomorrow (October 15) for submissions – so hurry and submit today! Looking forward to seeing you this spring in Cincinnati!

Deadline Looming!! Only One Week Left to Submit Your Abstract
YIKES! The deadline to submit abstracts for the 2023 Society for Applied Anthropology (SfAA) annual meeting is next week.
Register now, before the abstract submission deadline of October 15. To begin the registration process and learn about the theme and participation options, please go to: https://www.appliedanthro.org/annual-meeting.
Any and all applied social scientists are encouraged to submit abstracts (sessions, papers, posters, videos, workshops, exhibits) for the program of the 83rd Annual Meeting of the Society for Applied Anthropology in Cincinnati, Ohio, March 28-April 1, 2023. The meeting will be hybrid in format, with onsite meetings at the historic Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza, complemented by online participation.
SfAA is committed to hosting a safe in-person meeting and providing the information you need to make an informed decision about whether to come to Cincinnati or attend online. We are monitoring the Covid situation closely, and we will keep our members and conference participants updated.
So put the final touches on that abstract and hit the send button.
