Dear SAS Members,
It is time for our annual election. SAS runs two elections every year. The first includes our wider membership, both AAA and non-AAA members. The results of this election go to the AAA for the spring elections, which is a single candidate slate for each open position and is administered by AAA.
The ballot is now open at https://forms.gle/eFJTh9vZ4CMdajF26 - please vote now!
This year we have one candidate for Executive Board Member, one candidate for Secretary, and two candidates for Student Representative. The biographies and statements for the candidates are available at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1JsfC50VmGyL61fT4FTg0qD9wG_ZqMcWXxm5TS5H-WIc/edit?usp=sharing.
President-Elect was originally included for this year’s election cycle. However, because there were no nominees for the position, the Executive Board voted to extend the current Past-President, President, and President-Elect commitment by one year to allow for the President-Elect position election next cycle.
The deadline for voting is Friday, February 21, 2025, 11:59pm Eastern. Please take the time to cast your votes in these elections and consider standing for the President-Elect or other position in the 2026 elections.
Thanks to all the nominees for their willingness to serve!
