August 25, 2023, marked the auspicious occasion of Varalakshmi Puja, a significant Hindu festival devoted to the worship of Goddess Varalaxmi, the deity
associated with wealth and prosperity.
On this remarkable morning, my wife urged me to light a lamp and perform the puja in honor of Goddess Varalaxmi. During this ritual, my attention was captivated by a beautifully crafted silver lamp, meticulously filled
with fragrant ghee. The silver plate upon which it rested added to its elegance and a cotton wick soaked in ghee was carefully placed. The resulting soft glow emanating from the lamp was enchanting.
It was a harmonious collaboration of elements - the silver lamp, the plate, the ghee, the cotton wick, and the radiant light - each unique in its properties and purpose. Together, they created a profoundly captivating
spectacle.
