Yes if the concerned person for minimum one year and you have his her details it is possible to give Residential Proof

If an employee is staying at a company's provided bachelor or family accommodation in this case the company can provide address proof to their employees.

In the letter, company must have to mentioned that "This letter is being issued on request from employees for residential proof only and staying at company allocated bachelor or family accommodation since so and so date. 


If I am wrong please correct me.

Hi Everyone

As per my view, it is demanded from the outside department / office who is insisting our employees get  
the residential proof from the present employer. This way the employer is certifying the resident proof 
of an employee. Companies have a protocol to check residence for their internal purpose. For which external
organisation cannot hold working company as providing the residential authentication.

Dear Keerthana,

In many instances its considered Valid but in front of legal requirements at many occasions it may not be considered. 

The issuance is more from the moral responsibility and not a legal obligation. But as far as legal terms, A Company or any private organization is not competent to certify the proof of residence of an employee working in the company.

Yes, an organization is authorized to give Residential Proof to its employee. Even many government authorities accept the employer's letter on its letterhead as an employee's address proof.
