Hey Guys,

Couple of points to add to the great stuff already added.

Theme

In addition to looking at the various tool available, it would also be
good to touch upon the cultural and ROI challenges marketers face when
implementing a social media program.

For example, while the individual marketer may a social media
evangelist, it is often challenging to get the rest of the
organisation to recognise the benefits and be ok with the openness
that the use of social media implies. It would be good to look at ways
that these initiatives can be implemented within an organisation from
a cultural perspective.

Furthermore, once these activities are underway, it will be important
for metrics to be in place to show the ROI on this activity. What are
these metrics? Recording levels of community engagement, for example,
may be different than recording the success of an email campaign.

Logistics

I can do some digging around to see if we could use any of the
University of London facilities. While some of the facilities would be
appropriate, they get a bit funny from a security perspective so might
not be overly thrilled letting us run of an area for a weekend.

I will also see if IBM would let us use their facilities on the South
Bank. Again, a long shot but you don't know until you ask.

Sponsorship

Not sure the extent that the podcasting for the event is already
covered, but I can probably get some sponsorship from the company I
work for (ULCC) if they can host the podcasts with a 'hosted by'
credit next to it.

I can also do the rounds with some of the other contacts I have. I am
sure we can get enough to pull something off.

Event Timing

I am, unfortunately, going to be in Canada from the 5th July to the
21st July, so the originally proposed dates are not great for me.
Don't want to throw off the entire event just because of my trip,
though.

Look forward to making this happen! Sounds very exciting!
