Hi all,

Following a rather fruitless hunt for a location for the July weekend
we had in mind for SocialMediaCamp and the fast approaching period
where we should open up for registrations, I'm suggesting that -
unless we find a venue in the next week or so & more active organisers
- we postpone the event until early Autumn (end September to early
Oct), since people will start booking up all of their Summer weekends.

We'll need to rouse some more interest from potential supporting
organisers, especially those who are based in London (that's you
guys!!) since I can't take on all the planning.

Anyone fancy jumping in to help with venue and finding sponsors for
July? (I suspect the latter is going to be reasonably easy once we
have a date/location) Or should we postpone to end Sept when everyone
is back in the office and Summer's over?

Looking forward to getting everyone else's thoughts on this :)

I can't offer any time right now, but we should definitely try avoid postponing to beyond mid-September -- the summer has the advantage that all the universities are empty (well, emptier), making locations a lot easier to get...
