The Socialist Party (India) strongly condemns the recent military aggression carried out jointly by the United States and Israel against Iran. This assault, marked by large-scale airstrikes across Iranian territory, has resulted in widespread destruction, destabilisation of the region, and tragic loss of human life.

We unequivocally condemn the targeted killings of Iran’s top leadership, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with several senior military and political officials. Such acts of political assassination represent a grave violation of international law, national sovereignty, and the basic norms of global conduct.

We also deplore the reported killing of nearly 200 innocent children in a school bombing. The massacre of children exposes the most brutal and inhuman face of war. The targeting of civilian spaces such as schools constitutes an unforgivable crime against humanity.

These developments mark a dangerous escalation that threatens not only West Asia but global peace. Donald Trump, in his reckless attempt to dominate global affairs in collaboration with Israel, is pushing the world dangerously close to a third world war. Such adventurism reflects a dangerous disregard for international peace and stability. India must stand firmly against these designs and take immediate diplomatic initiatives to help restore peace and prevent further escalation.

The Socialist Party (India) also strongly deplores the recent visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Israel. He should not have undertaken this visit as a matter of policy, now or at any time, given the serious allegations of war crimes against Israel. The visit has conveyed a wrong message vis-à-vis India’s long-standing foreign policy principles and commitments.

At this critical juncture, we urge the Government of India to uphold the country’s historic foreign policy principles and stand firmly with Iran—a time-tested friend of India—in defence of peace, sovereignty, and regional stability, rather than appearing aligned with forces of war and imperial domination. India must act in accordance with its civilisational values and historic role as a voice for peace, justice, and anti-imperialism.

The Socialist Party (India) demands the immediate cessation of hostilities by all parties, an end to targeted assassinations and strict adherence to international law, full protection of civilian lives and infrastructure, urgent intervention by the United Nations to de-escalate the crisis, and a return to diplomacy, dialogue, and peaceful resolution of conflicts.

The Socialist Party (India) stands in solidarity with the people of Iran and all victims of this violence, and reiterates its unwavering opposition to imperialism, militarism, and war.

ये घटनाएँ एक खतरनाक बढ़ोतरी का संकेत हैं, जो न केवल पश्चिम एशिया बल्कि वैश्विक शांति के लिए भी गंभीर खतरा पैदा करती हैं। डोनाल्ड ट्रंप इज़राइल के साथ मिलकर वैश्विक मामलों पर वर्चस्व स्थापित करने की अपनी लापरवाह कोशिश में, दुनिया को तीसरे विश्व युद्ध के कगार पर धकेल रहे हैं। यह दुस्साहस अंतरराष्ट्रीय शांति और स्थिरता के प्रति खतरनाक उपेक्षा को दर्शाता है। भारत को इन मंसूबों के खिलाफ दृढ़ता से खड़ा होना चाहिए और शांति बहाल करने तथा आगे के तनाव को रोकने के लिए तत्काल कूटनीतिक पहल करनी चाहिए।

सोशलिस्ट पार्टी (इंडिया) प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की इज़राइल यात्रा की भी कड़ी आलोचना करती है। उन्हें इस यात्रा पर न तो अभी जाना चाहिए था और न ही और कभी, क्योंकि इज़राइल पर गंभीर युद्ध अपराधों के आरोप हैं। इस यात्रा ने भारत की स्थापित विदेश नीति के संदर्भ में एक गलत संदेश दिया है।

इस महत्वपूर्ण समय में, हम भारत सरकार से आग्रह करते हैं कि वह अपनी ऐतिहासिक विदेश नीति के सिद्धांतों को बनाए रखे और ईरान, जो भारत का एक समय-परीक्षित मित्र रहा है, के साथ शांति, संप्रभुता और क्षेत्रीय स्थिरता की रक्षा में मजबूती से खड़ी हो, न कि युद्ध और साम्राज्यवादी शक्तियों के साथ दिखाई दे। भारत को अपने सभ्यतागत मूल्यों और शांति, न्याय तथा साम्राज्यवाद-विरोधी भूमिका के अनुरूप कार्य करना चाहिए।
