सोनम वांगचुक पर सवाल उठाने वाले बुद्धिजीवियों से आग्रह है कि तर्क के बजाय विवेकपूर्ण ढंग से सोचें-बोलें।

सोनम वांगचुक का अनशन टूटना जरूरी था अन्यथा उनकी जान भी जा सकती थी, वह प्राथमिक कार्य हुआ, इतना काफी है।

अब सेकेंडरी कार्यों को प्राथमिकताओं की तरह न गिनाएं कि किससे जूस पिया ? गिलास से पिया कि चम्मच से पिया ? 

और अगर उन बुद्धिजीवियों को प्राथमिकता और सेकेंडरी चीजें नहीं समझ आ रही हैं तो एक सप्ताह का अनशन कर लें, तब उन्हें खुद अपने प्रश्नों का उत्तर मिल जायेगा।

ऐसे ही बुद्धिजीवियों, जो तर्कों पर ज्यादा बल देते हैं और प्राथमिक एवं सेकेंडरी लक्ष्यों में भेद नहीं कर पाते, उन सबके कारण ही आज देश तानाशाही के चौराहे पर आकर खड़ा हो गया था जिससे मजबूर होकर छात्र-युवाओं को आंदोलन करना पड़ा।

सोनम वांगचुक ने इंसान के हाथ से जूस पिया। हर आदमी के भीतर एक इंसान भी होता है। वह चाहे सोया या जागा रहे, पर होता जरूर है। 

सोनम वांगचुक ने मंत्री के हाथ से नहीं, इंसान के हाथ से जूस पिया।

I would urge the intellectuals who are questioning Sonam Wangchuk to think and speak with wisdom, not merely with logic.

The most important thing was that Sonam Wangchuk's fast had to end; otherwise, his life could have been at risk. That was the primary objective, and achieving it was enough.

Now, please do not elevate secondary matters to the level of primary concerns by asking questions such as: Who offered him the juice? Did he drink it from a glass or with a spoon?

And if these intellectuals are unable to distinguish between what is primary and what is secondary, they should themselves undertake a week-long fast. They may then discover the answers to their own questions.

It is precisely because of such intellectuals—who place excessive emphasis on arguments while failing to distinguish between primary and secondary objectives—that the country had reached the crossroads of authoritarianism, compelling students and young people to launch a movement.

Sonam Wangchuk accepted the juice from the hands of a human being. Every person has a human side within them. Whether that humanity is awake or dormant, it is always there.

Sonam Wangchuk did not accept the juice from the hands of a minister; he accepted it from the hands of a fellow human being.

Dear Saurabh

May be you can write to  Sandeepbhai at ashaa...@yahoo.com to remove you from the Socialist Party lists.

But I was interested in your seeming effort to "cancel" the Socialists. 

There are Socialists and Socialists. They have also evolved over the years, 

Speaking for myself I rather enjoy this list. You get various points of view and  as the public intellectual that you are you have here a chance to engage with them. You have also a chance to share your own ideas with them.

In most such lists entry is "open". so there are diverse people on this list, not necessarily all of a Socialist background or thinking..They also have differing ideas of Socialism..For example, I consider Jawaharlalji as a socialist. To some others he is a red rag. We must talk to all. We have only India to win.
