The reference to "Taali and Thaali" days speaks for itself:
Enough to send a chill down the spine.
Forget not, even before the trumped up din of "Corona Jihad" completely dying out, India had its second -- the middle -- and the deadliest corona peak. Following the holding of the Haridwar Mahakumbh -- millions taking ritualistic dips in the Ganga, literally rubbing shoulders with one another, when people should have practised strict physical isolation -- corpses in the national capital were burnt in parking lots and, in UP, floated in the Ganga, and also the Yamuna. The only country in the world where the pandemic brought in such a huge disaster. The most mismanaged one!?
This was the day, six years back, when the brutal lockdown was suddenly clamped locking in millions of migrant workers without food. When lifted, millions -- including children -- were forced to trek back home, maybe even hundreds of kilometres away, under the scorching sun!
This year, India is the host country for the annual BRICS conclave.
That should have been taken as an excellent opportunity to defuse the raging West Asia crisis
So, tighten the seatbelt and keep watching.
