The Stanford Social Neuroscience Lab (PI: Jamil Zaki) invites applications for 1-2 postdoctoral researcher positions, to begin in Summer of 2022. We seek an innovative scholar with a PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, Economics, Sociology, or related fields for an exciting, fundamentally interdisciplinary endeavor. Candidates can find out more about our lab and the work we do here and here.
Postdoc(s) will work on a large, NIH-funded, collaborative project that combines social network analysis, experience sampling, and neuroimaging in two large, longitudinal samples. The resulting data will be used to probe how social relationships and interactions affect well being, academic achievement, and other key outcomes over time.
We are especially interested in scholars with the following expertise:
(1) Social network analysis
(2) Longitudinal modeling, including time-series, growth curve, and multi-level models
(3) Theory-based psychological interventions
An ideal candidate should possess (i) intellectual creativity and innovation, (ii) a strong background in research design, (iii) skills and experience with data analysis, (iv) intellectual and practical autonomy, and (v) excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to work with and lead collaborative teams.
Interested applicants should contact Dr. Zaki (jz...@stanford.edu) with a statement of interest (maximum: 1 page), a CV, and 2 letters of reference.
