Justice Ghosh comes in place of Justice JS Khehar who has been
appointed as the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Governor Margaret Alva on Thursday administered
the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed Chief Justice of
Uttarakhand High Court, Justice Barin Ghosh, at a ceremony organised
at the Raj Bhawan auditorium here.

Justice Ghosh comes in place of Justice JS Khehar who has been
appointed as the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court.

Enrolled as an Advocate in December 1978, Barin Ghosh practiced in the
High Court of Kolkata, mainly in matters of civil, company and
constitutional affairs. He was appointed as a Permanent Judge of the
Calcutta High Court on July 14, 1995. He was transferred to the Patna
High Court in January 2005.

Justice Ghosh has earlier served as the Chief Justice of Jammu and
Kashmir High Court and the High Court of Sikkim.
